Intrinsic Core Brand Guidelines
1. OVERVIEW
Intrinsic Core™ software is a set of open-source robotics software packages provided by Intrinsic Innovation LLC (“Intrinsic”) and licensed under the Apache 2.0 license. While the code is free to use, modify, and distribute under that license, the Apache 2.0 license does not grant any rights to use trademarks owned by Intrinsic.
The “Intrinsic” name, the “Intrinsic Core” name, and all associated logos and wordmarks are trademarks of Intrinsic or its affiliates. These guidelines describe how third parties may refer to Intrinsic Core in their own materials and apply to all third-party uses of the Intrinsic Core trademark and any associated logos. Naming conventions for reference solutions published as part of Intrinsic Core, such as the Intrinsic Open Machine Tending Solution (OMTS), are covered in Section 9.
2. PERMITTED USES
You may do the following without receiving specific permission from Intrinsic:
- Use the Intrinsic Core wordmark (and not logo) in text to truthfully refer to Intrinsic Core software.
- Use the Intrinsic Core wordmark (and not logo) to explain that your product “works with” or “is compatible” with Intrinsic Core software, if it is true and as long as your use does not imply official association with Intrinsic or its products or services (see Section 5 - Approved phrases for details).
All other uses of any Intrinsic trademarks require prior written approval from Intrinsic (see Section 11 - Marketing Reviews and Brand Inquiries for details).
3. GENERAL PROHIBITIONS
- You must not use any trademark owned by Intrinsic or its affiliates as the name of your business, product, service, application, domain name, publication, any other offering, the name or handle of any social media account, in any hashtag, or in any other trademark, or in any way that implies that Intrinsic is the source of the offering or in any way sponsored by or affiliated with Intrinsic.
- You must not file trademark applications for or claim trademark rights to Intrinsic on its own or in connection with any other terms, or any derivatives thereof.
- You must not use trademarks, logos, company names, slogans, domain names or designs that are confusingly similar to any trademark owned by Intrinsic or its affiliates.
- You must not display any trademark owned by Intrinsic or its affiliates in a prominent manner suggesting Intrinsic is the source of your product or service.
- You must not modify any trademark owned by Intrinsic or its affiliates, abbreviate them, or combine them with any other trademarks, words, symbols, designs, images, domain names, project names, repository names, or incorporate them into any tagline or slogan.
4. USING INTRINSIC CORE MARKS IN TEXT
4.1 INTRINSIC CORE VS. INTRINSIC
Always use the full name Intrinsic Core when referring to the open-source components of the Intrinsic platform. Do not shorten it to Intrinsic alone. The Intrinsic name on its own is reserved for use under separate written agreement with Intrinsic Innovation LLC. The Intrinsic logo and Intrinsic custom typeface are separate trademarks of Intrinsic Innovation LLC and may not be used by third parties without prior written approval.
4.2 USE ONLY AS AN ADJECTIVE
Intrinsic Core may only be used as an adjective in text, as long as it is followed by a proper generic term and is not the name of your product, app, or service (e.g., Intrinsic Core™ software).
4.3 TRADEMARK SYMBOL
The Intrinsic Core™ mark should carry a ™ symbol the first or most prominent time it appears in each language section of a creative. The ™ symbol is not required on subsequent mentions or in social media posts. Always use ™, not ®.
4.4 ATTRIBUTION
Any use of the Intrinsic Core name must include the following attribution in your communication:
“Intrinsic and Intrinsic Core are trademarks of Intrinsic Innovation LLC.”
4.5 CAPITALIZATION AND GRAMMAR
Always capitalize Intrinsic and Core. Intrinsic Core is never plural or possessive.
4.6 SIZE AND PLACEMENT
When an approved descriptive phrase (such as “Works with Intrinsic Core™ software”, see Section 5 below) appears alongside your own logo, the Intrinsic Core reference must be no larger than 90% of your logo's size. The first instance must include the trademark symbol. Your own brand name must always be more prominent than any Intrinsic Core reference.

6. SAFETY AND PERFORMANCE CLAIMS
You may not state or imply that Intrinsic Innovation LLC has tested, validated, certified, or guaranteed the safety, performance, or reliability of your product, workcell, or deployment. Intrinsic Core software is provided under the Apache 2.0 license without warranties of any kind, and use of Intrinsic trademarks does not alter that fact. Examples of prohibited claims:

❌ “Intrinsic-certified safety system”
❌ “Intrinsic Core ensures safe operation”
❌ “Tested and approved by Intrinsic”
7. WORDMARK, NO LOGO
Intrinsic Core is a text-only wordmark. You may not create a logo, icon, or graphic mark incorporating Intrinsic Core or any element of the Intrinsic visual identity. You may not stylize Intrinsic Core in a custom typeface, combine it with graphic elements, or present it in any way that resembles a logo.
8. OPEN-SOURCE FORKS AND MODIFIED CODE
If you distribute modified versions of Intrinsic Core source code, you must comply with the following requirements:
- Retain all original copyright notices and include standard open-source attribution requirements as specified in the repository's license terms.
- Remove all Intrinsic logos, wordmarks, and brand assets from your modified distribution.
- Give your fork its own name that does not incorporate Intrinsic Core or Intrinsic.
- You may use Intrinsic Core in text to truthfully describe the origin of your code (e.g., “[Your Brand], based on modified source code from Intrinsic Core”).
Forked repositories may retain the “intrinsic-” prefix in package names, module names, and repository paths where removing it would break code functionality (e.g., “intrinsic-control”, “intrinsic-runtime”, “intrinsic-omts”). This technical exception applies only within source code and repository naming. It does not grant any right to use Intrinsic in marketing materials, product names, websites, documentation titles, or any public-facing context outside of the code itself.
9. NAMING CONVENTIONS FOR REFERENCE SOLUTIONS
Intrinsic may publish open-source reference solutions as part of Intrinsic Core. The first Intrinsic reference solution is the Intrinsic Open Machine Tending Solution (OMTS). On first mention in any public-facing context, use the full name prefixed with “Intrinsic”; subsequent mentions may use bare “OMTS”. Future Intrinsic reference solutions are subject to these guidelines unless Intrinsic publishes separate guidance.
10. HARDWARE
Intrinsic or Intrinsic Core trademarks, logos, and wordmarks may not be affixed directly to physical robots, machinery, controllers, hardware packaging, or other physical goods without a separate written agreement from Intrinsic.
11. MARKETING REVIEWS AND BRAND INQUIRIES
If you’re planning to use the Intrinsic trademarks in a way not permitted by these guidelines, please submit your materials for review by emailing us at asset-submission@intrinsic.ai. Typical response time is at least one week.
12. REPORTING MISUSE
If you become aware of any use of Intrinsic trademarks that does not comply with these guidelines, please report it to legal-notices@intrinsic.ai.

Intrinsic may update these guidelines at any time without notice.
